Your Questions, Answered!

  • I offer therapy sessions for individuals 18 years or older. These sessions are tailored to your situation and your goals. Together we’ll build a plan for how to address your concerns.

EMDR (trauma-focused therapy) focuses on addressing your nervous system to feel lasting relief from trauma experiences so you can live more fully in the present.

In addition, I offer licensure supervision for clinicians working toward state licensure.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps people process and resolve traumatic or distressing experiences.

When something overwhelming happens, the brain can store the information in a way that remains “unprocessed,” which can lead to ongoing triggers, anxiety, emotional reactivity, or negative beliefs about oneself. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements) to help the brain reprocess those memories so they feel less intense and no longer drive present-day reactions.

You do not have to relive trauma in detail for EMDR to be effective. The goal is not to erase memories, but to reduce their emotional charge so you can respond from the present rather than from the past.

  • EMDR can support healing for a variety of concerns:

    Trauma & PTSD

    Injuries & accidents

    Assault/abuse/neglect

    Anxiety & panic

    Phobias

    Depression

    Relational distress

    Grief & loss

    Stress reduction

    And more…

  • You can expect warmth, respect, and zero judgment. We’ll explore both the challenges you’re facing and the strengths you already have, then build realistic changes that actually fit your life. Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or intimidating- it can feel supportive, empowering, and even hopeful. We’ll talk honestly, build insight, develop practical coping skills, and focus on meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable. My goal isn’t perfection; it’s helping you feel more confident, grounded, and capable in your everyday life.

Licensure supervision with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on real clinical growth. I aim to create a space where you can ask questions openly, explore challenges honestly, and develop confidence in your clinical voice without fear of judgment. You can expect supervision to be grounded in trauma-informed care, substance use treatment experience, and over a decade of clinical work. Supervision sessions focus on case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, clinical skill development, documentation, and professional identity formation.
